IT Systems Associate

The IT Systems Associate provides hands-on technical support to Dekker employees, ensuring the reliability and effective operation of computers, software, and related technology. This position is responsible for day-to-day technical assistance, workstation deployment and maintenance, employee onboarding, and hardware troubleshooting. The associate also supports routine IT operations and collaborates with the broader IT team to maintain secure, reliable technology systems.

Responsibilities

End-User Support & Workstation Management

• Provide responsive day-to-day technical support to staff and guests, troubleshooting hardware, software, connectivity, and peripheral issues.


• Diagnose, repair, replace, and maintain desktop and laptop computers, monitors, docking stations, and related equipment.


• Image, configure, deploy, and maintain employee workstations in accordance with established technology and security standards.


• Support employee onboarding, including equipment preparation, account configuration, new-hire technology orientation, and equipment recovery.


• Assist employees with the effective use of firm technology, providing guidance, training, and troubleshooting as needed.


• Maintain accurate hardware inventory, asset records, and technical support documentation.

IT Operations & Infrastructure Support

• Assist with routine IT maintenance, including software deployments, system updates, patching, and endpoint security.


• Support the administration and maintenance of Microsoft 365, user accounts, and other firm technology platforms.


• Assist senior IT staff with infrastructure maintenance, monitoring, backups, and other operational activities as assigned.


• Participate in IT projects, process improvements, and automation initiatives as opportunities arise.


• Document technical procedures, communicate recurring issues, and identify opportunities to improve IT service delivery.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience in a helpdesk or desktop support role. 

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in computer information sciences or equivalent   

• Foundational understanding of Windows OS, basic networking concepts, and Microsoft 365. 

• Strong troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills.
