As an IT Technical Writer, you will be instrumental in ensuring that our complex IT systems and procedures are thoroughly documented and comprehensible to all stakeholders.
Job Duties:
Documentation Creation:
*Develop comprehensive technical documentation, including system manuals, user guides, and standard operating procedures.
*Collaborate with subject matter experts to gather information and ensure accuracy of technical content

Process Documentation:
*Document IT processes, workflows, and methodologies to facilitate efficient operation and troubleshooting.
*Standardize documentation formats and templates to ensure consistency and readability.

Knowledge Management:
*Organize and maintain a centralized repository of technical documentation for easy access by team members.
*Regularly update documentation to reflect changes in systems, processes, and best practices.

Communication Support:
*Assist in crafting communication materials related to IT projects, initiatives, and updates for internal and external audiences.
*Translate technical concepts into layman's terms for non-technical stakeholders.

Quality Assurance:
*Review and edit technical documentation to ensure clarity, accuracy, and adherence to company standards.
*Conduct periodic audits of documentation to identify areas for improvement and update accordingly.

Training Support:
*Collaborate with training teams to develop training materials and resources based on technical documentation.
*Provide support during training sessions to ensure understanding of technical content.
Required Qualifications:
*Bachelor"s degree in English, Technical Writing, Computer Science, related field or equivalent work experience
*Proven experience as a technical writer in the IT industry.
*Strong understanding of IT concepts, terminology, and systems.
*Proficiency in documentation tools such as Microsoft Word, Confluence, or Adobe FrameMaker.
*Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
*Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

We provide a competitive pay and benefits package. This position is offering a salary range of $70,000 to $80,000. Belcan considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to education, experience, geographic location, and discipline.
