JOB SUMMARY
This position supports the Enterprise Systems team at GMRE HQ (South Ogden, UT). The IT Technician will assist in the maintenance of our computer networks, hardware, software, and other systems. They will help troubleshoot issues with equipment like printers, computers, and servers, and provide technical support to our staff. This position is Part-Time, 25 hours per week, Monday -- Friday (5 Hours per day). This position works in-office from 0900 -- 1400. This is a temporary position lasting 12 weeks.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist with the installation and configuration of computer hardware, software, systems, networks, printers, and scanners.
Monitor and maintain computer systems and networks.
Respond in a timely manner to service issues and requests.
Provide technical support across the company (this may be in person or over the phone).
Repair and replace equipment as necessary.
Test new technology and provide feedback.
Assist with the documentation of systems and the creation of user guides.

Requirements:
REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES
Associate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Basic understanding of computer systems, mobile devices, and other tech products.
Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot basic technical issues.
Familiarity with internet security and data privacy principles.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to provide step-by-step technical help, both written and verbal.
Strong problem-solving skills.
Good attention to detail.
Ability to prioritize workload.
Strong desire to learn in a fast-paced environment.

To conform to U.S. Government international trade regulations, applicant must be a U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State or U.S. Department of Commerce.
Driving or renting a car for company business is expected with some frequency. For insurance purposes, a valid driver's license is required.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.
Must be able to safely climb and work from ladders.
