We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated IT Technician to support pharmaceutical manufacturing operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of IT systems, troubleshooting technical issues, and maintaining the integrity and security of our computer networks and systems. Additionally, the IT Technician will provide comprehensive support for PCs and peripherals used in the manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities: Technical Support: Provide prompt and effective technical support, addressing hardware, software, network, PC, and peripheral issues to minimize downtime and ensure operational efficiency. System Maintenance: Perform regular maintenance and updates on all IT systems, including servers, workstations, and network equipment, to ensure optimal performance and compliance with industry standards. Network Management: Manage and troubleshoot network infrastructure, including switches, routers, and wireless access points, ensuring robust and secure connectivity throughout the facility. Software Management: Install, configure, and update software applications used in manufacturing processes, ensuring compatibility and compliance with regulatory requirements. PC and Peripherals Support: Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair PCs, printers, scanners, and other peripheral devices to ensure their reliable operation. Data Integrity and Security: Implement and maintain data protection measures, including backups, antivirus software, and firewalls, to safeguard sensitive information and ensure business continuity. Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of IT systems, configurations, and procedures to support efficient troubleshooting and regulatory compliance. Training and Support: Provide training and support to end-users on IT systems and best practices to enhance productivity and adherence to security protocols. Compliance: Ensure all IT activities comply with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), FDA regulations, and other relevant industry standards and guidelines. Qualifications: Education: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in an IT support role, preferably within a pharmaceutical or manufacturing environment. Technical Skills: Proficiency in Windows and Linux operating systems, network administration, hardware troubleshooting, and PC and peripherals support. Certifications: CompTIA A+, Network+, or similar certifications preferred. Knowledge: Understanding of GMP, FDA regulations, and other relevant compliance standards in the pharmaceutical industry. Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving abilities, strong communication skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
