Janitor/Custodian - Leading Industry Pay

JOB DESCRIPTION - Provide light electrical duties: Changing light bulbs and assisting in ballast change out, etc. - Provide light plumbing duties: Repairs restroom fixtures, unclogging P traps and assisting in any plumbing project. - Provide light carpentry duties: installing shelving, repairing windows, assemble furniture and accessories. - Patch and paint the common areas of the building. - Coordinate special projects as directed by the Facilities Manager. - Assist in monitoring all work being performed by outside contractors. - Performs maintenance and repairs in areas of carpentry, electrical, plumbing, painting, and other building repairs. - Perform preventive maintenance checks of building and equipment - Clean building floors inside and outside(hallway, stairway, etc.) by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing or vacuuming them. - Assist other custodians as assigned when necessary and provide coverage in their absence. - Perform emergency cleaning services. - Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor and director. - Follow employees guidelines for attendance, dress code and rules and regulations as outlined in the employee handbook. - Stock and maintain supply rooms. - Clean and supply designated building areas (dusting, sweeping, mopping, cleaning ceiling vents, restroom cleaning, etc.) - Collect trash and replace garbage liners, clean garbage receptacles as required - Dust and cleaning of all furniture, fixtures, and horizontal surfaces as required - Vacuum all carpeted areas, mop tile and concrete floor areas as required - Wash, disinfect, and restock all restroom floors, toilets, toilet seats, paper and soap dispensers as required - Empty trash in all washrooms, clean mirrors, walls and toilet partitions - Cleaning window sills and windows - Perform and/or report minor maintenance repairs and any damages - Maintain janitor closets in a clean, organized and safe manner - Maintain janitorial equipment in a clean, safe and operable condition - Proper labeling, dilution and use of all chemicals - Wear proper Personal Protective Equipment at all times - Perform other duties as assigned Responsibilities and Duties Basic Maintenance duties include but are not limited to; - Strong follow-through on delegated tasks and assignments - Ability to operate and use tools/equipment - Ability to follow oral and/or written instructions - Maintain a positive attitude - Good client/customer service skills - Ability to prioritize multiple tasks - Ability to work effectively independently or with a team - Basic knowledge of general housekeeping methods and practices, cleaning products and use Education: GED/High School

Experience: 2 years Facilities Maintenance Experience Required Job Types: Full-time, Contract salary: $23.81/ hourly
