Job Description:

The successful candidate will provide support in requirements/design/coding/testing/validation efforts for systems that support the Office of Applications and Supplimental Security Income Systesms. The candidate will be performing these activities and maintain applications for the Social Security Administration under the direction of the Technical Lead and Project Management.

Skills Requirements:

• Strong knowledge of STRUTS 2 is a  must.


• Experience with SQL and one or more RDMS; preferably IBM DB2.


• JPA ORM Tools JPA, DROOLS, JBPM.


• Java Servlets/JSP, JAXP, JAXB, JDBC.


• Apache Ant/Apache and JUnit.


• XML, XPath, and XSLT.


• HTML/CSS/JavaScript/AJAX.


• IBM WebSphere Application Server (WAS)


• Network programming; HTTP and HTTPS.


• Systems analysis and design.


• Excellent written and verbal communications skills.

Develop and maintain technical documentation including, but not limited to:

• Architectural specifications\


• Functional design specifications


• User interface design


• Code documentation


• Installation guides


• Release notes
