Java/AWS Cloud Developer

**Hybrid - 1 time a week onsite at one of the following locations: Durham, NC, Merrimack, NH, or Smithfield, RI.**

Our financial services client is looking for a Java/AWS Cloud Developer to join their team.

Due to client requirement, applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis. For our w2 consultants, we offer a great benefits package that includes Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits, 401k with company matching, and life insurance.

Pay Rate: $65.00 - $80.00/hr on W2

Skills, experience, and other compensable factors will be taken into account when determining pay rate. The pay range provided in this posting is a reflection of a W2 hourly rate; other employment options may be available that may result in pay outside of the provided pay range.

W2 employees of Eliassen Group who are regularly scheduled to work 30 or more hours per week are eligible for the following benefits: medical (choice of 3 plans), dental, vision, pre-tax accounts, other voluntary benefits including life and disability insurance, 401(k) with match, and sick time if required by law in the worked-in state/locality.

Requirements of the Java/AWS Cloud Developer:
A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
At least 7 years of hands-on development experience with Java or Python
Hands-on experience modifying existing UI in React framework
Hands-on experience in application deployment automation and Jenkins pipelines
Experience implementing projects as a team in Agile environments
Experience with S3, Route 53, EC2, ECS, API gateway, Cloud Front, Cloud Trail & Lambda development in AWS and MS-Azure
Experience with relational and NoSQL databases in AWS
Experience with DevOps, Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery
Experience using source control for feature-driven development in GitHub
Experience working with Artifactory and familiarity with API registries
Experience leading various initiatives in support of evolving and growing the Technical Chapter and Chapter Area
Strong expertise with building Java/Spring Boot RESTful microservices from scratch
Familiarity with automated deployment in Jenkins core
Ability to learn new things, new technology, and tackle problems
