JavaScript Test Automation Engineer (Telecommunication)

CUSTOMER

Our client is a leading Swedish company in the telecommunications industry, known for delivering innovative and large-scale technological solutions. They provide products and services essential for mobile and fixed communication as well as radio and transmission networks.

PROJECT

The project involves developing and testing a portal designed to manage and orchestrate rApps (RAN Automation Applications). This portal will serve as a central platform for integrating multiple systems, collecting and processing data, configuring automation rules, and managing the lifecycle of rApps, including their deployment and execution. 

 

This is a new project that is currently in the MVP phase. The initial stage is focused on Front-end development, followed by integration with various pipelines. 

• Under the direction of Test Lead, write and execute test scripts, identify errors, and validate successes for any software solution 
• Identify, understand, and document all programming errors and operational characteristics that are inconsistent with the stated requirements and design specifications of the given program, application, or set of applications
• Clearly present test reports and demos to  Customer and teams

• Strong skills in test design and manual testing
• Proven knowledge and hands-on experience in test automation for both Back-end and Front-end systems 
• At least 2 years of experience with JavaScript and TypeScript in one of the following test automation frameworks: Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, Cucumber, or similar frameworks
• Experience with CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions and CircleCI)
• Experience creating and executing test cases in a variety of contexts and across different tech stacks
• Strong skills in debugging, tracing, and log analysis 
• Ability to write and execute test scripts under the guidance of a Test Lead 
• Proficiency in identifying, analyzing, and documenting software bugs and inconsistencies with functional and design specifications
• Clear and structured communication skills, including presenting test reports and demos to program stakeholders, customers, and internal teams 
• Upper-Intermediate level of English
