JCREW Instructor / RCM (ST3)

 The JCREW Instructor / RCM (ST3) is a senior-level training specialist responsible for delivering expert-level instruction and support in the Joint Counter-Radio-Controlled Improvised Explosive Device Electronic Warfare (JCREW) system and executing advanced Reliability-Centered Maintenance (RCM) analysis and training. This position requires certified knowledge in Navy Preventive Maintenance System (PMS) processes and hands-on experience developing and delivering technical content to U.S. Navy or DoD personnel. The ST3 designation indicates advanced expertise, leadership in curriculum development, and operational understanding of electronic warfare systems. 

Responsibilities: 

• Deliver formal, high-quality instruction on JCREW systems to military personnel in classroom and field environments. 
• Lead and support Reliability-Centered Maintenance (RCM) development efforts, including data collection, failure analysis, and task selection aligned with Navy PMS guidelines. 
• Develop and maintain technical training materials, lesson plans, guides, and assessments based on current system configurations and operational procedures. 
• Ensure training aligns with NAVSEA, DoD, and system OEM standards. 
• Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) for JCREW systems and Navy PMS processes, contributing to updates, revisions, and new content development. 
• Collaborate with engineering, logistics, and ILS teams to ensure integration of system updates and feedback into training curricula. 
• Provide mentorship and oversight to junior instructors and RCM developers as needed. 
• Assist in preparing reports, maintaining student records, and supporting certification processes. 

• Completion of a formal instructor training course (e.g., Navy Instructor Training Course [NITC], Master Training Specialist, or equivalent). 
• 5+ years of direct instructional experience, preferably in military or DoD technical training environments. 
• Certified Level 1 and Level 2 RCM Developer under the Navy Preventive Maintenance System (PMS). 
• In-depth understanding of JCREW systems, counter-IED/EW operations, and associated field equipment. 
• Strong knowledge of Navy maintenance documentation (MRCs, MIPs, LOEPs) and related support systems. 
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to present complex technical material clearly. 
• Must be a U.S. citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance. 

Preferred Qualifications: 

• Experience supporting NAVSEA, SPAWAR, or NIWC programs. 
• Hands-on experience with training development tools such as AIM II, CPM, or other Navy-authorized curriculum tools. 
• Familiarity with JCIDS documentation and acquisition lifecycle support. 
• Master Training Specialist (MTS) qualification or equivalent is a plus. 
• Previous military experience in an EW, maintenance, or instructor role.
