Discipline isn't just what happens on the mats - it's how you run a program. If you hold a Black Belt and the leadership instincts to match, The Front's Jiu Jitsu Collective needs someone to guide both.
The Front Climbing Club builds spaces where community runs as deep as the training. Across our Salt Lake City, South Main, and Ogden locations - plus our Jiu Jitsu Collective and Studio 1396 ceramics studio - we're united by one mission: create environments that inspire connection, growth, and an engaged, loyal community. We hold ourselves to a high standard of operational excellence, and we expect the same discipline and care from the people who lead our programs.
Based at our South Main location, the Jiu Jitsu Lead Instructor teaches on the mats and runs the day-to-day of the Jiu Jitsu Collective - from instructor development to program quality. This is a part-time position paying $22/hour for administrative work, plus $65 Instructor Rate for time spent teaching. You'll partner closely with the Jiu Jitsu Administrative Lead and report to the Senior Manager of Programming.
Physical demands: This role moves. Expect reaching, bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping; grasping and manipulating objects; lifting up to 25 lbs; and extended standing, sitting, or walking with repetitive motion through the wrists, hands, and fingers. You'll be exposed to airborne chalk, dust, and cleaning supplies, with occasional evenings or weekends for classes, events, and staff meetings.
If you lead the way you train - with discipline, respect, and an eye toward the next generation of practitioners - we want to hear from you. Apply today and help set the standard for The Front's Jiu Jitsu Collective.
We're an equal opportunity employer that celebrates diversity and strives to create an inclusive environment for all.
