Job Summary:
The Job Coach is responsible for training participants in a workplace setting. The Job Coach will utilize specific teaching techniques to instruct participants in designated jobs at a work site. The Job Coach ensures all assigned worksites are maintained to the highest quality standards and implements company mission and values by providing participants the opportunity for employment in a competitive, integrated setting.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Provides coaching and training to participants, teaching them employer specific job tasks as well as work responsibilities and professional behavior.
- Utilizes training techniques to instruct participants in specific tasks, work skills, habits, and behaviors
- Fosters and promotes the inclusion of individuals with disabilities in the workplace
- Ensures quality and performance standards are maintained according to the job specification of the employer while still exercising the ability to hold participants accountable
- Responsible for documenting and reporting compliance per Redhead Supports. Provides weekly daily reports to the Manager on progress of job coaching
- Maintains regular contact with the Manager as appropriate
- Assists individuals with completing applications and resume building
- Fosters positive relationships with employers in the community, following employers’ policies and procedures
- Presents self in a professional and appropriate manner towards participants, co-workers and community partners
- Participates in job-related training offered by Redhead Supports, Vocational Rehabilitation, Veterans Affair, and other local and Federal training to increase skills and improve current skills.
- All other program-related duties assigned by the Employment Manager
Skills and Abilities:
- Demonstrates excellent communication skills, relationship building, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to maintain relationships stakeholders and community partners
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as policies and procedures manuals
- Ability to work with people that have severe, profound and/or multiple disabilities
- Ability to provide accurate case documentation
Qualifications (education, training, experience, licenses)
- High School diploma or GED required
- Minimum of (1) year experience serving individuals with disabilities
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Work, PowerPoint and Excel) and Google Forms required
- First Aid/CPR certification required
- Job Coaching certification
- Must be able to have a flexible work schedule which may include working evenings and weekends
- Valid driver’s license required and reliable transportation w/ current automobile insurance

Maybe exposed to a warehouse environment and outdoor weather conditions, including extreme heat, extreme cold, wind, poor air quality and wet or humid conditions, etc.
