Job Coach/DSP

CCAR Industries is searching for a Job Coach/Direct Support Person (DSP) to assist individuals in the Community Day Services Program with recreational, learning, and work activities. The job coach will accompany individuals to community work sites to train them on the particular job tasks. When not assisting at job sites, the job coach will engage individuals in the activities of their choosing with an emphasis on community-based experiences.

Schedule:

This is a permanent, benefited, full-time position that would require the individual to work between 8 am - 5 pm (with a lunch break) on Monday - Friday with weekends and major holidays off.

Requirements:

• Must be creative and enjoy supervising and engaging in community recreational activities


• Experience working with individuals with disabilities in a direct support role is preferred, but not required


• Must possess a valid driver's license


• Must be able to successfully pass a criminal background check and child abuse and neglect background check


• Must be able to work independently or as a team
  


• Demonstrate timeliness and accuracy in documentation, such as making brief daily notes

Wages:

$17.75/hour to start with an increase to $18.25/hour after completing paid training.

Pay Schedule:

Paid every two weeks with a direct deposit option
