Overview:
Our client is seeking an experienced food service leader to oversee all operations at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital, a premier academic teaching hospital in Washington, D.C. This pivotal role demands a strategic leader passionate about innovation, team development, and process improvement to manage retail, patient, and catering services for this 609-bed facility.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct oversight and strategic direction for all day-to-day food service operations.
• Deliver high-quality retail, catering, and patient meal management services.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with client leadership and customers.
• Achieve company and client financial targets and goals.
• Ensure full compliance with HACCP, regulatory, and company standards.
• Hire, train, and develop unit personnel, including managing in a union environment.

Requirements:

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent relevant experience.
• Experiences:
• 5+ years of proven management and functional leadership experience.
• General Manager-level Food & Nutrition leadership experience in a healthcare environment.
• Specific experience managing in a unionized environment.
• A strong work history demonstrating collaborative supervisory and team-building skills.
• Other:
• Outstanding client relationship and professional communication skills.
• Strong financial acumen and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Proficient computer skills and report management experience.
• A passion for high-level customer service and the ability to drive growth.
