Ash & Harris Executive Search is looking for an Associate Attorney.

As a Workers' Compensation Defense Attorney, you'll play a key role in defending employers, insurers, and brokers against fraudulent claims while receiving mentorship from senior partners. The firm offers a collaborative environment with no billable requirements and provides cutting-edge legal technology to support your success.

Key Responsibilities:

• Handle 25-40 workers' compensation cases monthly from inception through resolution
• Conduct depositions, mediations, and arbitrations under senior attorney guidance
• Perform forensic legal research and draft pleadings, motions, and other filings
• Develop and implement strategic defense plans against fraudulent claims
• Build relationships with insurance carriers and clients
• Utilize advanced legal tech (MS Teams, e-discovery, LexisNexis) for case management

Requirements:

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an ABA-accredited law school
• Active Florida Bar license in good standing

Experiences:

• 3+ years as a practicing attorney
• 1+ year specifically in Florida workers' compensation (Chapter 440)
• Experience defending employers/insurers preferred

Other:

• Exceptional legal writing and analytical skills
• Strong litigation and negotiation abilities
• Tech-savvy with legal software and case management systems
• Passion for workers' compensation defense

Compensation and Benefits:

Salary:

• $90,000 - $130,000 (negotiable based on experience and book of business)

• 15 days PTO (after 90 days)
