Ash & Harris Executive Search is looking for an Estimator (Water/Waste Water Experience)

Overview:

Well-established Heavy Civil Contractor in Arizona is seeking a skilled Estimator with experience in water and waste water projects. The ideal candidate will analyze blueprints, specifications, and proposals to prepare accurate time, cost, and labor estimates while ensuring cost-effectiveness and adherence to project requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze blueprints, specifications, and proposals to prepare detailed cost, material, and labor estimates.
• Assess project cost-effectiveness and track actual costs against bids.
• Conduct studies to establish standard costs and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Collaborate with engineers, contractors, and clients to adjust estimates and resolve issues.
• Review material and labor requirements, preparing itemized lists.
• Compute cost factors for bids, vendor selection, and project planning.
• Participate in pre-bid site visits and construction progress reviews.
• Attend management meetings and contribute to business development efforts.
• Ensure compliance with safety policies and procedures.

Requirements:

Education:

• Bachelor of Science in Construction or Civil Engineering (preferred).
• Equivalent combination of experience and training will be considered.

Experience:

• Minimum 5 years of estimating experience in heavy civil construction, particularly in water/waste water projects.
• Strong background in construction technology, equipment, and government regulations.

Other:

• Strong mathematical, analytical, and blueprint-reading skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Proficient in drafting proposals with accuracy and professionalism.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and visualize 3D structures.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Valid Driver’s License.

Compensation and Benefits:

• Salary: $100,000 – $180,000 per year (based on experience).
