Job Description - (Job TE- 1160) Employment Law Associate Attorney

Ash & Harris Executive Search is looking for an Employment Law Attorney

Overview:
Our client, a leading law firm in Fort Lee, NJ, is seeking a dedicated Employment Law Attorney to join their dynamic team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated individual to manage a diverse caseload of impactful employment matters for both individuals and businesses, within a firm known for its client-focused advocacy and strong litigation results.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage employment law cases from initial client intake through to resolution.
  • Draft and prepare pleadings, discovery demands, motions, and legal memoranda.
  • Conduct and defend depositions; attend and represent clients at mediations, arbitrations, and court hearings.
  • Provide strategic counsel to clients on compliance with state and federal employment regulations.
  • Handle cases involving discrimination, harassment, wrongful termination, wage and hour disputes, and retaliation.
  • Maintain effective communication with clients, opposing counsel, experts, and courts.
  • Collaborate with colleagues while independently managing your own caseload.

Requirements:

  • Education: Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Experiences: Minimum of 2 years of experience practicing employment law.
  • Other:
    • Active license to practice law in New Jersey is mandatory.
    • Strong knowledge of federal and NJ employment statutes (e.g., Title VII, ADA, FMLA, NJLAD, CEPA).
    • Litigation and courtroom experience is highly preferred.
    • Excellent legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.
    • Ability to manage multiple matters efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Salary: $125,000 - $160,000 per year (plus performance-based bonuses)
  • Benefits: Comprehensive package including medical, dental, and vision insurance, Flexible Spending Account (FSA), 401(k) plan, paid time off (PTO), and paid holidays.

Schedule:

  • Full-time
  • Work arrangement: On-site (5 days per week at the Fort Lee, NJ office)
