Ash & Harris Executive Search is looking for a CNC Programmer & Machinist - Precision Manufacturing

Overview:

Key Responsibilities:

• Program, set up, and operate CNC and manual machines (mills, lathes, grinders) to fabricate precision parts.
• Interpret complex blueprints, engineering drawings, and GD&T specifications.
• Troubleshoot and resolve machining issues independently to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
• Inspect parts using advanced measuring tools (CMM, micrometers, calipers, height gauges).
• Suggest and implement process improvements for increased efficiency and quality.
• Train and mentor less-experienced machinists.
• Collaborate with engineering, quality, and production teams to meet project timelines and quality standards.
• Perform preventative maintenance on machines and ensure compliance with safety protocols.

Requirements:

• Education: A High School Diploma or GED is required. A vocational school or technical certification is preferred.
• Experiences:
• 2+ years of experience in CNC machine programming and setup.
• 2+ years of hands-on CNC programming experience.
• Proficient in CNC programming (G-code, Fanuc, Mazak, Haas, or similar controls).
• Strong knowledge of materials, tooling, feeds, and speeds.
• Proven ability to work from complex blueprints and GD&T symbols.
• Other:
• Must be a United States citizen or Green Card holder.
• Solid work history with strong problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude.
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma practices is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits:

• Salary: $28/hr - $32/hr
