Ash & Harris Executive Search is looking for a Trust & Estates Attorney

Overview:
Our client, a well-established law firm, is seeking an experienced Trust & Estates Attorney to join their collaborative team. This is a full-time, in-office position perfect for a local professional with a strong background in estate planning, trust administration, and elder law, who is dedicated to building long-term client relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

• Advise clients on all aspects of estate planning, including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and advance directives.
• Counsel clients on wealth transfer strategies, charitable giving, and tax planning.
• Administer trusts and estates, including probate proceedings and Surrogate’s Court filings.
• Draft, review, and interpret complex estate planning documents and trust agreements.
• Coordinate with financial advisors, accountants, and other professionals.
• Handle guardianship and elder law matters, including Medicaid planning and applications.
• Maintain ongoing client relationships and provide exceptional client service.

Requirements:

• Education: Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Experiences: Minimum of 3+ years of experience practicing in trust and estate planning and administration. Must have specific experience with Elder Care law.
• Other:
• Admission to the New York State Bar (or eligibility for admission).
• Must be local to the area; relocation or candidates from NYC will not be considered.
• Strong knowledge of estate, gift, and fiduciary income tax law.
• Excellent drafting, analytical, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple matters in a fast-paced environment.
• Client-focused mindset with strong interpersonal skills.

Compensation and Benefits:

• Salary: $125,000 - $140,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
