Ash & Harris Executive Search is looking for a Shipping Team Lead

Overview:
A leading logistics and operations company is seeking an experienced Shipping Team Lead to manage daily shift operations with a focus on safety, quality, and efficiency. This role is critical in coordinating international shipments, providing accurate freight quotes, and ensuring compliance with all customs and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on leader with extensive experience in international shipping protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the day-to-day shift operations with emphasis on safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
• Act as the first point of contact for operators regarding mechanical failures or production issues.
• Generate accurate freight quotes and Proforma Invoices for customers.
• Prepare all necessary shipping and export documentation for international shipments.
• Input production data to monitor KPIs related to efficiencies, downtime, and inventory.
• Coordinate with sales, customer service, and other departments to resolve issues and ensure timely order processing.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and enforce control procedures.
• Maintain international customer profiles and task-specific SOPs.
• Ensure strict compliance with safety, security, regulatory, and company policies.

Requirements:
Education

• Not specified, but relevant experience is critical.

Experiences

• Must have proven international shipping experience and knowledge of customs requirements.
• FedEx shipping software experience is required.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel.
• Experience in a team lead or supervisory capacity is preferred.
• DOT/DG Certification is a strong plus.

Compensation and Benefits:
