Ash & Harris Executive Search is looking for a Personal Injury and Medical Malpractice Attorney

Overview:
Our client is seeking an experienced and highly motivated attorney to join their Westbury, NY legal team. The ideal candidate will manage a plaintiff-side caseload from intake through trial in complex personal injury and medical malpractice matters, providing compassionate and effective client representation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage all phases of litigation for personal injury and medical malpractice cases.
• Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, discovery demands, and responses.
• Take and defend depositions, including those of expert witnesses.
• Appear in court for conferences, hearings, oral arguments, and trials.
• Develop case strategies, evaluate case merits, and negotiate settlements.
• Supervise and collaborate with paralegals and legal support staff.
• Maintain strong client communication and provide regular case updates.

Requirements:

• Education: Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Experiences: Minimum of 5 years of experience litigating plaintiff-side personal injury and/or medical malpractice cases. Trial experience is strongly preferred.
• Other:
• Must be admitted to the New York State Bar.
• Excellent legal writing, research, and analytical skills.
• Strong negotiation and advocacy abilities.
• Ability to manage a heavy caseload in a fast-paced environment.
• Client-focused with strong interpersonal skills.
• Must be local to the Long Island area.

Compensation and Benefits:

• Salary: $130,000 - $160,000 base salary, commensurate with experience, plus performance-based opportunities.
