John Deere Equipment Technician

TECHNICIAN – JOHN DEERE TURF EQUIPMENT - HAWAII 

Pacific Golf & Turf is the Northwest’s premium supplier of John Deere and turf care products to Golf Course and Sports Turf facilities. We are currently seeking a Technician/Mechanic specializing in John Deere Turf Equipment at our Kapolei, Hawaii branch on Oahu.  The ideal candidate has a commitment to customer service, is a well-trained and highly organized professional.  We are an established company striving to provide the best customer service possible. JOB DETAILS:  

• Responsible for diagnosing and repairing John Deere turf equipment 

• Setup and complete PDI for new John Deere equipment 

• Refurbish and prepare used units for sales deliveries 

• Pick up and deliver of customer equipment/carts (company provided vehicles)  

• Travel to golf courses, complexes and/or businesses in order to assist customers and address concerns 

• Maintain equipment, shop, property, and tools. 

• Maintain accurate and reliable records 

• Help maintain a safe, clean, and organized environment for customers and employees 

• Create a professional and positive experience for customers 

• Work 40 hours per week with possible overtime based on customer and seasonal demands  

• Ability to read, write and communicate with co-workers and managers 

• Other duties as assigned by management 

KNOWLEDGE AND REQUIREMENTS: 

• Minimum 3 years of experience as a John Deere technician or verifiable training and work experience combined, required   

• Knowledge of golf industry, preferred 

• Golf cart and non-John Deere turf equipment experience a plus 

• Experience driving while towing a trailer, preferred 

• Basic set of tools (company will provide John Deere specific tools as needed), required 

• Must be in good physical condition; you will be required to continuously lift up to 50 pounds routinely during the course of your shift, this position will require heavy lifting, carrying, pushing, bending, twisting and pulling on a daily basis    

• Must possess a current driver's license and must be insurable. Must be able to pass a DOT physical  

• Able to travel to neighboring islands  

Day Shift:  Monday – Friday 
Wages: Starting at $28+ per hour depending on experience
