Journeyman Electrician

Job Overview:

In this role you will lay out, assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical fixtures and apparatus’ such as boxes, conduit, wiring outlets, switch panels, and bus bars. You will test circuits for continuity and proper connections. This job requires a high level of attention to detail, required PPE, and strong safety practices. Employees will be expected to follow instructions, manage change orders, read blueprints and conduct re-writes.

Job Responsibilities:

• Install raceways, conduit and cable trays.
• Terminate motors and motor controls.
• Pull wire and cable.
• Install and terminate transformers, buss duct, switchgear, and motor control centers.
• Maintain quality sign-off sheets and customer approval sheets.
• Read and interpret all applicable codes, drawings, schematics, sketches, and specifications related to assigned work.
• Complete work safely and efficiently, while upholding quality requirements
• Perform other duties as assigned

Job Qualifications:

• High School diploma or general education degree (GED) is preferred.
• A valid Class A or B license from the State of Iowa or reciprocating state
• Valid driver’s license
• Must have the ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide units of measure.
• Candidate must be able to read and interpret documents such as blueprints, work orders, change orders, specifications, safety bulletins and maintenance instructions.
