Journeyman Electrician

Description

• Order materials for projects
• Plan out tasks and manpower needs as projects progress
• Go on service calls and diagnose issues and electrical problems
• Collaborate with construction trades to ensure electrical systems meet project requirements
• Utilize power tools for installation and maintenance tasks
• Perform electrical repairs, installations, and maintenance for residential and commercial customers
• Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical systems, ensuring optimal performance
• Install systems and fixtures, read and interpret blueprints, and prepare bids as needed
• Operate hand and power tools while adhering to safety standards and regulations
• Coordinate work activities when required, maintaining job site cleanliness and professionalism
• Represent the company with excellent communication and top-notch customer service skills

Requirements

• Journeyman Electrician license
• 2+ years of experience
• Proficiency in blueprint reading and understanding electrical schematics 
• Strong problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve electrical issues 
• Experience completing remodel and or new build commercial projects
• Work well independently
• Value honesty and integrity
• Develop and maintain client relationships

Physical Demands

The employee is regularly required to sit, stand and walk. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and lift and/or move 100 pounds or more with assistance. The employee is frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, touch objects, tools or controls and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. The employee is occasionally required to work extended hours.

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, vibration, heat, cold and stress. Work is done outdoors, so employee must dress for conditions. The noise level in the work environment is moderate. The employee must have the ability to work outdoors in cold and hot weather.
