JOURNEYMAN ELECTRICIAN

Purpose:

T&J Heating, A/C and Plumbing is a full-service heating, air conditioning, electrical and plumbing organization, providing new installation, repairs and ongoing maintenance services to commercial and residential clients throughout New England.  

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Journeyman Electrician to join our growing team.  The ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic, excellent communication and problem solving skills, and a commitment to safety. You will gain hands on experience in various electrical tasks, including installation, repair and maintenance of electrical systems. 

Responsibilities 

• Install, repair and maintain a wide range of electrical systems
• Perform tasks such as running conduit, pulling wire, installing electrical boxes, and connecting wiring to fixtures and      equipment.
• Code Compliance: Adhere to local electrical codes and safety regulations.
• Tool and Equipment Usage: Properly use hand and power tools, measuring instruments, and other electrical equipment.
• Continuous Learning: Participate in ongoing training  and education to stay updated on industry standards and technologies.

Requirements:

• Maintain a valid Massachusetts Journeyman Electrician license
• Maintain a valid driver’s license and ability to drive a company truck or van
• 3 plus years experience with electrical repairs, maintenance and installation techniques
• Knowledge of electrical codes
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, schematics, and written reference material
• Ability to perform mathematical calculations
• Understanding and ability to diagnose and resolve problems 
• Experience with using hand and power tools
• Experience with maintaining a safe work environment

• Entry level troubleshooting skills with the ability, prioritize, and resolve problems
• Good personal time management skills both at customer sites and with completing of administrative tasks
