Job Description - Journeyman Electrician

Job Duties

Install lighted signs and make electrical connections

Install signs using drills and hammers following a pattern and adhering to work order specifications including things like dimensional letters and lobby signs

Use a measuring tape and camera to during pre-production site surveys to gather pictures and measurements for use in production/fabrication of signs if needed

Use a variety of tools to refurbish outdoor signs

Sand and paint; bend pan signs using manual break tool; use various tools like saws and drills

Dig post holes and set posts in grass/dirt using concrete

Install illuminated signs using brackets and a variety of tools

Maintain shop equipment and tools and bucket truck in good working order

Demonstrated ability to use a variety of tools and techniques to hang signs including installing channel letters and cabinets and pole signs, digging post holes and setting posts, removing acrylic lettering, sanding, patching and painting, installing vinyl, replacing or installing new flexface material, bolting new sign to existing building or sign face

Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

Licensed journeyman sign electrician or journeyman electrician in the State of Texas

Prefer installers with specific experience in installing signs but all with experience in some or all of the above are encouraged to appl

Must be dependable and professional

Must have ability to lift 50lbs plus, bend, climb ladders, and use tools

Must have strong work ethic, professional demeanor, and great attitude required

Organized, highly detail oriented, reliable.

High School Diploma or equivalent (GED).

Must possess a valid driver’s license.

Ability to pass a background check upon hire.

Good close and color vision.
