Position Purpose

Plumbers / Drain Cleaning Technicians diagnose and repair issues, and lead customers to informed and confident buying decisions.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to.

Customer Service

Rapidly responding to plumbing & drain cleaning calls, both during business hours and on-call.

Know how to establish customer rapport to provide the right products and services.

Educate and assist customers with their issues.

Help customers select the right maintenance plan and understand warranty information.

Explain reasons for blockage and illustrate how you will resolve the issue.

Understand your service criteria and hold yourself accountable for exceeding revenue goals.

Show yourself as professional and knowledgeable to win new referrals and repeat business.

Technical

Complete all drain cleaning and plumbing-related work related to on-site service calls.

Protect equipment and keep a well-inventoried truck.

Train and mentor apprentices to ensure quick, accurate repairs.

Administrative

Work alongside customer service and dispatch to ensure the overall success of the business.

Prepare estimates as needed.

Maintain a clean, organized job site and well-inventoried truck.

Follow health and safety standards and comply with building codes.

Write reports documenting the problem and a summary of actions taken.

Be accurate and timely with invoices, timecards, customer feedback, and completing jobs.
