What You’ll Do
As a Journeyman Plumber, you’ll lead commercial plumbing operations, delivering precision and quality in service and construction projects. Key responsibilities include:
- Diagnose and troubleshoot plumbing issues (e.g., leaks, clogs, pipe damage) in commercial settings with efficiency.
- Install and maintain plumbing systems in new construction, ensuring compliance with local codes and blueprints.
- Read and interpret schematics to execute accurate pipe and fixture installations.
- Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance to proactively address issues.
- Collaborate with contractors, project managers, and service teams to ensure seamless project execution.
- Communicate professionally with clients, explaining services, costs, and maintenance practices.
- Respond promptly to emergency plumbing situations, maintaining flexibility and high standards.
- Uphold safety and quality standards, fostering a culture of craftsmanship and team development.
Who We’re Looking For
We’re seeking self-starters with a passion for plumbing excellence. Ideal candidates have:
Experience: Completion of a plumbing apprenticeship or formal training, with proven commercial/industrial plumbing expertise.
Licenses: Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record; state/federal plumbing licenses required.
Skills: Proficiency with a wide variety of plumbing tools and techniques, strong problem-solving, and clear communication.
Physical Ability: Able to lift up to 75 lbs., work in mechanical rooms, rooftops, and underground piping, and perform in dynamic environments.
Requirements: Pass criminal background check and drug screen.
Availability: Willing to respond to emergency plumbing situations, including odd hours.
Behavioral Traits: Ability to lead team meetings, estimate materials/labor, and track productivity against targets.
