Job Title: Jr. Audio Engineer 
Location: Fanbase Podcast Studio, Atlanta, GA
Hours: Part-Time, Flexible

Overview:The Fanbase Podcast Studio is seeking a dedicated and skilled Audio Engineer to support our studio rental services, catering to Georgia Tech students, employees, and a broader range of podcast creators. The Audio Engineer will play a crucial role in providing setup assistance, technical support, and ensuring a professional audio experience for clients.

Responsibilities:

• Audio Setup and Operation: Prepare and monitor studio audio equipment, including microphones, recording devices, and audio interfaces. Ensure quality sound during podcast recordings, adjusting levels as needed..


• Technical Support: Troubleshoot any audio issues that arise during studio rentals, ensuring smooth, uninterrupted sessions.


• Collaboration with Senior Engineers: Work closely with the Senior Engineers/Fanbase Staff on special projects or advanced engineering needs, as required.


• Equipment Maintenance: Regularly inspect, clean, and maintain audio equipment to ensure it’s in top condition for each session.


• Additional Services: Offer engineering support to clients who request it as an add-on service. Rate: $25/hour for engineering assistance.


• Live Stream Support: Assist/ develop proficiency with live streaming needs, including configuring StreamYard and ensuring stable audio/video quality throughout live broadcasts.

Qualifications:

• Current student at an accredited institution, preferably with a background in audio engineering, music production, or a related field.


• Strong understanding of audio equipment, soundboards, recording software, and basic troubleshooting.


• Ability to provide clear and friendly guidance to clients with varying levels of technical expertise.


• Detail-oriented, reliable, and able to work independently.


• Must be a current Georgia Tech Student

Compensation:

• Base rate for engineering services is $25 per hour. Additional hours and flexibility may be available based on client demand and studio bookings.
