Junior Communication Analyst
to develop and execute communication activities utilizing a variety of communication methods to build the desired levels of awareness, understanding, and commitment to the Indian Health Service IT Modernization Program. The Communications Analyst will support the Communications Lead in the following activities.

Responsibilities
Draft communications solutions based on guidance from communications lead
Gather information, document feedback and summarize concepts.
Development of content and materials for internal and external briefings and presentations, as well as for site-level communication
Development and distribution of a variety of communications collateral such as newsletters, blog posts, email blasts, fact sheets, presentations, promotional materials, graphics, web content, etc.
Create engaging social media content ranging from short-form videos, animated posts, and graphics
Develop and maintain a social media calendar to ensure alignment across task areas on desired topics for promotion and to keep a standard, planned series of messages toward targeted audiences
Conduct analysis on social media and website analytics to target messages and evolve communications based on results
Development and dissemination of communications products and materials targeted to the needs and preferences of specific partner and stakeholder audiences, including tailoring to ensure that content is culturally appropriate
Ensure plain language and 508 compliance standards are upheld across all material development
Development, execution, and maintenance of a Communication Toolkit that contains content specific to preparing a facility for implementation and deployment (e.g., checklists, briefing documents and information about training) that may require tailoring based on facility type, functionality/processes, or other factors
Adherence to the established processes for the review and approval of the communication content and outreach efforts, as appropriate
Manage tasks within a program management tool (e.g., Asana) to document workload and provide status updates
Qualifications
Minimum of an Associate degree preferably in Communications, Marketing, or Public Health.
Experience drafting work product content, messages, social media and design layouts
Prior federal experience a plus.
Minimum 1 years’ related experience
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Plain language and 508 compliance requirements
Strong initiative
Ability to problem solve as well as work independently or as a member of a team
Attention to detail
Demonstrated organizational skills
Proficiency in MS Office and Canva applications
Final salary determination based on skill-set, qualifications, and approved funding.
