Job Description - Jr. RCCD

We are seeking a skilled RCDD specializing in hyperscale data centers to design and implement advanced communication distribution systems. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in large-scale data center environments, focusing on high-density cabling systems, infrastructure design, and optimizing network performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design Development: Create comprehensive designs for structured cabling systems, including fiber optic and copper installations, tailored for hyperscale data center applications.
  • Standards Compliance: Ensure all designs comply with industry standards (e.g., ANSI/TIA, ISO/IEC) and best practices for high-performance data center environments.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including architects, electrical engineers, and facility managers, to integrate cabling systems into overall data center infrastructure.
  • Site Assessments: Conduct thorough site assessments to determine the best cabling strategies and infrastructure solutions, considering scalability and future growth.
  • Documentation: Prepare detailed documentation, including design drawings, schematics, and specifications, for installation and maintenance purposes.
  • Quality Assurance: Implement quality control measures to ensure installations meet design specifications and perform optimally.
  • Troubleshooting: Provide technical support and troubleshooting for complex cabling systems, addressing any issues that arise during or after installation.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in telecommunications, computer science, electrical engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 1 years of experience in structured cabling design, specifically within hyperscale or large enterprise data center environments.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Visio), cabling standards, and best practices. Familiarity with network architecture and equipment (routers, switches, etc.).
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess complex systems and make data-driven decisions.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively present designs and ideas to diverse stakeholders.
  • Project Management: Experience in managing large-scale projects, with a focus on meeting deadlines and budget constraints.
Close to Dallas/Ft. Worth area is a plus
