Description Position: Jr. Sys Admin/Team Leader

Position Summary
This position will successfully bridge technical knowledge with a solid understanding of the educational environment. Vartek must drive leadership and vision and provide the management of technology and support resources needed to integrate technology across the curriculum to advance student outcomes. Team leaders will provide leadership in identifying, assessing, and managing technology needs for the assigned school or district aligned with the vision of school leadership.
Essential Functions
Responsible for the performance and attainment of all goals identified for field
Average Principal Reports scores must exceed 3.3 for each building for the month in the quarter.
Deliver Monthly Tech Updates (School Board Reports) to the school within five (5) business days after month-end.
Deliver Quarterly Status Reports (QSRs) to the school before the end of the month following the end of the quarter (January, April, July, October).
Maintain accurate and current inventory at all times.
Deliver Asset Lifecycle Management Strategy (ALMS) to the school in January each year with Quarterly Status Report.
Update the tables for the ALMS to reflect additions and disposals (physical count of inventory is reflected in QSR presented in January annually.
Timely start and completion of 100% of projects, including engineering
Projects
All required deliverables saved in School Specific Google Folder by submission deadline.
District-Specific Duties
Maintains client relationships and provides frontline troubleshooting support for networks, servers, and security systems
Manages security events, including phishing and malware incidents, on an on-call basis
Maintains accurate device records and inventory
Sets up and maintains systems and processes for file servers, print servers, and domain controllers
Administers and maintains Office 365 and Google Admin environments
Utilizes GAM (Google Apps Manager) to effectively remediate threats against the district
Participates in the management and coordination of third-party vendors
Works outdoors in inclement weather conditions to troubleshoot infrastructure and liaise with third-party network vendors
Involved in cybersecurity training and end-user remediation efforts
Troubleshoots and repairs laptop and Chromebook hardware
Manages inventory related to parts and district-owned equipment
Demonstrates proficiency in PowerShell for scripting and automation tasks
Supports and maintains AV equipment, including but not limited to projectors, projector screens, microphones, and other related equipment
Comfortable flexing work hours as needed, including arriving earlier or staying later to meet operational demands
Education/Experience
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor’s degree in Education, Education Technology, Information Technology, or a related field of study. Master’s degree preferred.
Demonstrated professional experience in a technology leadership role.
Demonstrated experience in K-12 preferred.
Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills, as well as speaking and presentation skills.
Certified Education Technology Leader (CETL) certification required or must be attained within 24 months of hire or within 12 months of meeting CETL eligibility requirements.
