Job Description - Jr-Mid ServiceNow Technical Consultant-ITSM/CMDB/SPM

Veracity is currently seeking Junior to Mid-level ServiceNow developers with experience configuring ServiceNow IT Service Management (ITSM), CMDB, and/or Service Portfolio Management (SPM) to join our fast-growing ServiceNow Federal Practice team. ServiceNow. The resource will be responsible for the successful delivery of ServiceNow's solutions and services, in a client consulting environment as part of a larger delivery team.

What you get to do in this role:

The Technical Consultant I position will be responsible for configuring ServiceNow technologies for existing ServiceNow implementations. This includes IT Service Management (Incident, Problem, Change, Service Request, CMDB, Knowledge, Service Level Agreement / Management), Service Portfolio Management and other ServiceNow products. The successful candidate will participate in all technical aspects of the project delivery and solution delivery on the ServiceNow platform including:

Participate in implementation workshops to gather business/technical requirements

Consult customers on industry and ServiceNow best practices

Configuration of core NOW platform capabilities

Development of required client specific reporting

Development of integration components (SSO, LDAP, Web Services, etc.)

Interface with ServiceNow technical teams as needed

Prepare client facing and internal deliverables that are technology related

Participate in the continuous improvements of our implementation methodology and service offerings based on client experiences

Ensuring technical deliverables to customers are complete, consistent, high quality, on time and deliver valued outcomes

Contribute to ServiceNow Practice and Individual KPI’s and Metrics as defined

To be successful in this role, we need someone who has:

Public Trust clearance required, will be sponsored if not held.

Technical Skills:

1-3 years’ experience as a technical resource in the development of technical solutions

Demonstrated experience in end-to-end development and delivery

Familiar with JavaScript or other enterprise-grade programming language.

Awareness of AngularJS, JQuery and/or React is a plus.

Understanding of web services like SOAP, REST, XML, etc.

Experience with programming API’s and Database-level integrations/ETL

Cursory knowledge of PaaS/SaaS environments

Knowledge and exposure to modern HTML5/CSS/LESS markup languages

Understanding of how web applications work including security, session management

Understanding of Agile delivery methodologies and software development lifecycles.

Bachelor’s Degree preferably in Information Technology, Computer Science or Engineering

Certified ServiceNow Administrator and/or Implementation Specialist for ITSM / SPM

2+ years of ServiceNow implementation experience in a client consulting environment

Eagerness and a strong desire to expand IT knowledge at an enterprise level, as well as a willingness to be mentored by other IT consultants.

Strong interpersonal skills, customer centric attitude, ability to deal with cultural diversity

Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to present and explain technical information in an articulate manner

Strong attention to detail and creative problem-solving skills an absolute essential

Ability to understand and interpret business needs and identify appropriate business and technical solutions to meet those needs

Passion to succeed and deliver unparalleled solutions to our customers

Strong interest in cloud computing and related technologies including SaaS, PaaS, IaaS

Working knowledge or certification in ITIL a plus

Experience in Change or Configuration Management a plus

Base Pay Range $45-$55/hour W2
