Jumpstart - Bibb County

 THIS TRAINING IS FOR THOSE SEEKING A

 CAREER & FULL-TIME EMPLOYMENT IN THE

 CONSTRUCTION TRADES.  Age: 18 - 24 only

            Training begins April 16, 2025

Classes meet twice a week on Wednesday & Thursday-

                       5:00 pm - 8:00 pm for 12 weeks

                              No cost, Free

  In-person interviews required for acceptance into training

Classes meet at the Bibb County Career Academy

  Eligibility requirements:

      1 age: 18-24 only

      2. eligible to work in the U.S.

      3. high school diploma or GED

      3. ability to pass drug screen and background check

      4. valid driver's license & clean driving record

• The Jump Start program is an introduction to the skilled trades.


• The training starts with an overview of all the trades, Electrical, Plumbing, HVAC & Carpentry.

You will have the opportunity to learn:

• construction materials


• taking accurate measurements


• working from elevated positions


• construction materials


• reading blueprints


• employability skills


• hand and power tools safe use

You can obtain certifications for:

OSHA 10 safety standards,

1st Aid/CPR/AED 

Scissor Lift operation

Boom Lift operations

This training places a strong emphasis on safety in the workplace.

Upon satisfactory completion of this training, you will be eligible to be interviewed for employment with one or more of our participating contractors. If hired, you can enroll in the Apprenticeship Training Program.
