Junior AI Application Developer

HouseMax Funding is looking for a Junior AI Application Developer to partner with leadership to turn ideas into working AI-powered applications, automations, and internal tools.

This is a hands-on, vibe-coding focused role for someone who enjoys using AI to build quickly. You’ll use tools like Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, Replit, Lovable, and similar platforms to move from idea to prototype to working solution.

We care less about years of experience and more about what you can build, how quickly you learn, and how well you solve problems.

What you will do

• Partner with leadership to turn business ideas into working applications and tools.
• Rapidly prototype and build using AI-assisted development tools.
• Use natural-language prompting to generate, modify, and improve code.
• Build AI-powered workflows, automations, and internal applications.
• Connect applications with APIs, databases, company systems, and AI models.
• Test, troubleshoot, and improve AI-generated code.
• Experiment with AI agents, RAG, document intelligence, and emerging AI technology.
• Turn successful prototypes into reliable, maintainable solutions.
• Protect sensitive company, employee, and customer information throughout development.

• 1+ years of experience building applications, websites, automations, or technical projects.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted coding and vibe-coding tools.
• Basic knowledge of Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, or similar languages.
• Understanding of APIs, databases, GitHub, and web applications.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to learn unfamiliar technology quickly.
• Comfortable experimenting and working from an idea rather than a detailed technical specification.
• Ability to collaborate directly with company leadership.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, and occasional evening and weekend work will be required as job duties demand.

Work Environment

The majority of the tasks associated with this position will be performed indoors, however, some duties will require the ability to function outdoors with exposure to seasonal weather conditions for short periods of time. Travel is up to 5% of the time.
