The Role: Patent Litigation Associate

In this role, youll:

• Shape the Future: Represent both patent holders and alleged infringers in patent litigation matters, spanning federal courts nationwide and post-grant proceedings before the Patent Office.
• Collaborate with the Best: Work alongside a nationally recognized patent litigation group advising clients from innovative startups to established industry leaders.
• Drive Change: Leverage your legal, technical, and scientific understanding to craft innovative strategies that achieve successful outcomes for cutting-edge technology and life sciences companies.

Key Skills

Were looking for candidates with expertise in:

• Technical Proficiency: Background in patent litigation, with 1-6 years of experience, and familiarity with high tech or life sciences fields preferred (but not required).
• Analytical Abilities: Proven capacity to interpret complex technical data and apply it in the litigation context.
• Leadership: Ability to manage case responsibilities, work effectively within teams, and meet critical deadlines.
• Communication: Superior oral, written, and interpersonal skills for effective advocacy and client interaction.
• Industry Knowledge: Understanding of the technology and life sciences sectors is beneficial.

• Experience: 1-6 years of patent litigation experience.
• Skills: Expertise in handling patent disputes in federal court and/or parallel proceedings, from discovery to trial preparation.
• Education: A J.D. from an accredited law school with superior academic credentials.
• Mindset: A collaborative, forward-thinking approach focused on delivering exceptional client results.
• Bar Admission: Must be barred in the state of the office location (New York, San Francisco, Santa Monica, Silicon Valley, Seattle, or Washington D.C.) or eligible to sit/waive into the next bar exam.
