Junior BIM Technician

Position Overview 

The Junior BIM Technician supports the development and maintenance of electrical BIM models under the direction of the BIM Manager. This role focuses on model production, coordination support, and learning BIM standards within a commercial electrical construction environment. 
 
This position is designed for candidates early in their BIM career who are seeking hands on experience and long term growth within electrical BIM and VDC. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities 

Model Development 

Create and update electrical models in Revit following established company standards 
Model conduit, cable tray, lighting, devices, and equipment as directed 
Maintain clean, organized, and accurate model geometry and parameters 

Coordination Support 

Assist with clash detection preparation and coordination documentation 
Implement approved coordination changes under BIM Manager direction 
Support coordination meetings through model updates and screenshots 

Documentation and Deliverables 

Generate drawings, sections, and views from BIM models 
Assist with installation drawings and prefabrication documentation 
Maintain proper file organization and version control 

Learning and Development 

Learn electrical construction methods and installation sequencing 
Develop proficiency in BIM workflows, standards, and coordination processes 
Participate in internal training, project reviews, and quality checks 

Required Qualifications 

One to three years of BIM or Revit experience preferred 
Basic understanding of construction drawings 
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills 
Ability to follow direction and apply technical feedback 

Preferred Qualifications 

Trade school, technical certificate, or associate degree in drafting or construction technology 
Exposure to commercial electrical systems 
Navisworks experience 

Service Complete Electric may offer a signing bonus of up to $15,000 for qualified candidates in recognition of the critical nature of these roles. Signing bonuses are not standard compensation and are available only to new external hires with prior written approval. Signing bonuses are not guaranteed, are discretionary, and are subject to change.

Approved signing bonuses are paid in installments over the employee’s first year of continuous employment and require the employee to be actively employed at the time each installment is paid. Final terms, if approved, are governed by the offer letter, which will outline the specific amount, payment schedule, and any repayment obligations if employment ends before one year.

Signing bonuses are processed through payroll and are subject to applicable taxes and withholdings. Subject to executive approval.
