Job Description
Education & Years of Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 0–3 years of experience in IT support, systems engineering, cybersecurity, or PKI-related environments
Required Skills
- Support PKI certificate issuance and infrastructure operations in accordance with DISA J6 Pentagon, Department of Defense/War (DoD/DoW), and Committee for National Security Systems (CNSS) Certificate Policy (CP), Certification Practice Statement (CPS), and Registration Practice Statement (RPS)
- Provide system administration support to the Registration Authority (RA) workstations and perform basic log monitoring, review, and backup in accordance with the 10.5 archive requirements.
- Assist in DCDC RA Audits
- Assist in maintaining PKI-related policies, documentation, and certificate profiles under direction of senior engineers
- Support compliance activities by preparing artifacts, collecting data, and assisting with audits of internal Certification Authorities (CAs)
- Assist with operation and maintenance of issuing Certification Authorities, including monitoring system health, supporting Certificate Revocation List (CRL) publication processes, and performing routine maintenance tasks
- Provide technical support for PKI and IDA-related systems, including troubleshooting certificate and authentication issues and assisting with workstation and token-related support
- Support engineering and testing activities for new installations, upgrades, and system enhancements
- Assist with patching, configuration updates, and ensuring compliance with STIG and ACAS requirements
- Document procedures, configurations, and troubleshooting steps in support of SOP development
- Participate in team meetings, status updates, and operational support activities
Preferred Skills
- Basic understanding of Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) concepts, Identity and Access Management (IAM), and networking fundamentals
- Familiarity with Windows operating systems and domain environments and troubleshooting technical issues in enterprise IT systems
- Exposure to DoD or Federal IT environments
- Familiarity with CAC/PIV cards, token issuance, or certificate-based authentication
- Basic knowledge of STIG, RMF, or cybersecurity compliance frameworks
- Ability to follow established processes and work under supervision in a structured environment
- Strong attention to detail and documentation skills
- Effective communication and ability to work within a team
