Position Summary-

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Estimator to support the preparation of cost estimates for federal construction contracts. This role works closely with the Senior Vice President and plays a key part in the company's preconstruction and bidding efforts. The ideal candidate is eager to learn, highly organized, and interested in long-term career growth within construction estimating and project development.

Key Responsibilities-

• Assists in preparing accurate cost estimates for federal construction projects, including labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor pricing


• Review project plans, specifications, and contract documents to understand scope and requirements


• Support the Senior Vice President in bid preparation, proposal development, and pricing strategies


• Perform quantity takeoffs and maintain estimating databases and spreadsheets


• Request and analyze subcontractor and supplier quotes


• Help ensure estimates comply with federal contracting requirements and regulations


• Participate in pre-bid meetings and internal strategy discussions


• Maintain organized documentation for bids and historical cost data

Qualifications-

• 0-3 years of experience in construction estimating, engineering, or related roles


• Familiarity with federal construction contracts is a plus, but not required


• Strong analytical, mathematical, and organizational skills


• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and estimating software (or willingness to learn)


• Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with senior leadership


• High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines
