Job Description - Junior Market Research Analyst

Job Summary:
DT Professional Services is looking for a candidate to join our dynamic Business Development team as a Junior Market Research Analyst to assist with market, customer, and opportunity research for federal government information technology contract opportunities. This includes developing opportunity, client, and competitor analysis reports and updating our customer relationship management (CRM) database for targeted contract opportunities.

The candidate will be working in a fast-paced environment and able to adapt to changing priorities and needs supporting capture managers, proposal managers, and executives. The candidate must be highly organized, attentive to detail, comfortable supporting multiple simultaneous assignments, deliver measurable results on a daily basis, and be able to work independently in a remote work environment.

Candidates for this position must be eligible to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance. The ideal candidate will be based from and work at our Chesapeake, VA office location.

As with any position, additional expectations exist. Some of these are, but are not limited to, adhering to normal working hours, meeting deadlines, following company policies as outlined by the Employee Handbook, communicating regularly with the assigned supervisor, and staying focused on the assigned tasks.

Responsibilities:

Collect and analyze data on customer needs and buying habits to identify potential opportunities with new and existing customers
Assist in the forecast and support the tracking of Government acquisition and spending trends, analyzing collected data (Government Acquisition training provided)
Gather data on competitors and conduct strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats (SWOT) analysis
Analyze other company capabilities and experience to determine qualified partners
Monitor industry statistics and follow trends in trade literature
Support customer and partner outreach, opportunity research and requirements analysis
Support preparation with possible attendance at industry conferences and trade shows
Performs other duties as assigned
Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, History or English
Abilityto obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance
Live local to our Chesapeake, VA office location
1+ year’s experience supporting research or analysis
1+ years’ of corporate customer service and supporting project management
1+ years’ performing marketing and grant research, or web research and analysis
1+ years’ of web portal navigation, queries, interpreting qualitative and quantitative data
1+ years’ Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
1+ years’ Google Suite (slides, word, excel, and Gmail)
1+ years monitoring and interpreting industry statistics and trade literature
Preferred Qualifications:

2+ years assessing the competition strength, weaknesses, pricing, their offerings, unique strengths that we need to offset
2+ years conducting competitive analysis, gathering competitive intelligence
1+ years of writing experience related to software development, technical writing or project management
1+ years of proposal development experience related to software or enterprise technical solution for the Federal market
1+ years capture, business development or proposal development experience in the Federal sector
1+ years demonstrated professional writing skills using proven tools and established methods
The compensation for this position: $50,000 annually.
