Junior QA

About the Role

 We’re looking for a detail-oriented QA Tester to ensure the quality and reliability of our applications. You’ll work closely with developers, product teams, and data engineers to test features, validate APIs, and verify data across systems. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys problem-solving, understanding system behavior, and ensuring high-quality releases.

Key Responsibilities

· Design, write, and execute test cases and test scenarios
· Perform functional, regression, smoke, and integration testing
· Test APIs using tools like Postman
· Validate API responses, status codes, and business logic
· Write and execute database queries using SQL
· Verify data consistency in databases like PostgreSQL
· Validate data pipelines
· Analyze logs to debug issues and identify root causes
· Perform frontend validation for UI behavior and user interactions
· Report, track, and manage defects using JIRA
· Collaborate with developers during debugging and fixes
· Participate in test planning and release validation

Requirements

· Strong understanding of software testing fundamentals (STLC, SDLC)
· Experience with API testing using Postman
· Basic knowledge of SQL and database validation
· Understanding of HTTP methods and status codes
· Experience in identifying, documenting, and tracking bugs
· Basic automation testing knowledge for UI/web applications
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
· Good communication and teamwork abilities

Nice to Have

• Experience with ETL processes and data pipeline validation
• Familiarity with OpenSearch or similar search systems
• Knowledge of cloud storage like AWS S3
• Basic scripting knowledge (Python or similar)
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines
• Hands-on experience in developing and maintaining automation test scripts using frameworks built on Selenium WebDriver or similar tools
