Junior Staff Accountant - Hiring Now

Currently recruiting for a Junior Staff Accountant in the Conneaut, Ohio area. Our client is looking for someone who is well-versed in accounting principles and can work comfortably with numbers with keen attention to detail. The goal is to contribute to the overall efficient operation of the department.
This Role Offers:

• Base Pay: $18- per hour/ can increase based on Experience.
  
• Monday through Friday (8:30am-5pm)
  

Junior Staff Accountant Job Description:
As a critical member of the Finance team, the Junior Staff Accountant will provide support by managing daily accounting tasks, including cash receipts, maintaining accounts receivable and accounts payable, & general data entry & reporting. The Junior Staff Accountant is well-versed in accounting principles and can work comfortably with numbers with keen attention to detail. The goal is to contribute to the overall efficient operation of the department.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Daily posting of cash receipts
  
• Inputting accounts payable invoices.
  
• Ensuring timely payment of invoices and gathering appropriate signatures.
  
• Maintaining an organized filing system for accounts payable invoices and cash receipts.
  
• Assisting in gathering of documents for external audits.
  
• General data entry & reporting to assist in Finance & Operations departments.

Education and Experience:

• Successful completion of accounting classes required, associate degree in business preferred.
  
• Accounting experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
  

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  
• Must be able to lift-up to fifteen pounds at times.

Pay Details: $18.00 to $22.00 per hour
