Job Role:

As a Junior Structural Engineer, you will be primarily responsible for carrying out structural design calculations focused on steel and concrete restoration. You will contribute to exciting projects that challenge your structural acumen and provide you with vast learning and development opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

- Perform detailed design calculations for structural steel and concrete restoration projects.

- Collaborate closely with senior engineers and project managers to implement innovative engineering solutions.

- Participate actively in projects requiring corrosion protection techniques.

- Engage in consistent professional development relating to structural engineering best practices.

- Cooperate with a skilled team to adhere to safety standards and project specifications.

- Occasionally support site inspections, requiring overnight travel and the ability to work in varied weather conditions.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology with a structural emphasis; an MS degree is a plus.

- Minimum of 3 years experience in the design and testing of steel, concrete, and soils.

- Successful completion of the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) examination and certification as an Engineer In Training (EIT).

- Strong intention and ability to undertake and pass the Professional Engineer (PE) / Structural Engineer (SE) exam in Georgia within 18 months of hire.

- Enthusiastic participation in additional corrosion protection programs.

- Willingness for occasional travel (0-10%) and ability to work varied hours in sometimes harsh weather conditions.
