Stain, seal, and topcoat: Mix, strain, and apply clear coatings with HVLP for even film build, color match, and clarity.
Touch-ups & defect repair: Blend and correct minor defects (abrasion, nibs, fisheyes, light scratches) and rework per spec.
Spray booth operations: Stage parts, maintain filters and cleanliness, manage flash/cure times, and document materials used when needed.
Inspection: Check adhesion, coverage, sheen, and uniformity; flag inconsistencies and follow rework standards.
Safety: Use all PPE, follow chemical-handling and ventilation protocols, and maintain a tidy, organized booth.
What You Bring
12+ months in wood/cabinet/furniture finishing OR adjacent spray-finishing (e.g., auto refinish, industrial coatings, millwork).
Working knowledge of HVLP equipment, spray patterns, tip selection, and basic gun maintenance.
Strong hand–eye coordination, consistent technique, and attention to detail.
Comfort with solvents/finishes and shop tools; ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
Reliable, team-oriented, organized, and coachable.
Equivalent experience welcome: Cabinet shop finisher, furniture finisher, millwork spray tech, or auto body prep/spray with strong sanding and coating discipline.
