We are seeking candidates who have proven experience selling kitchen equipment to schools—or other comparable products/equipment into the K-12 education market. This role offers a competitive base salary of $90,000–$105,000, plus substantial bonus potential. You’ll focus on selling commercial kitchen solutions to K-12 schools, school districts, and education-focused organizations. Your mission is to help schools build, upgrade, and modernize their kitchen operations so they can better serve students.
Sales Strategy & Execution – Develop and execute targeted sales strategies to grow our presence in the K-12 education market.
School & District Relationships – Build and maintain strong relationships with school nutrition directors, foodservice managers, purchasing officers, and district decision-makers.
Bid & RFP Management – Proactively identify and respond to bids, RFPs, and RFQs from schools and school districts.
Product Expertise – Develop deep knowledge of our product lines (cooking equipment, refrigeration, dishwashing units, prep tables, and more) and position them effectively for school environments.
Proposal Development – Collaborate with internal teams to prepare accurate, tailored quotes, bids, and presentations that meet school district requirements.
Cross-Functional Collaboration – Partner with design, logistics, and project management teams to ensure seamless project delivery.
Client Support – Provide excellent post-sale support to ensure satisfaction, long-term relationships, and repeat business.
Market Awareness – Stay up to date on school purchasing processes, funding programs, and K-12 foodservice industry trends.
Industry Experience
Required: Proven track record of selling kitchen equipment—or comparable products/equipment—directly into K-12 schools, school districts, or education-related organizations.
Experience in commercial kitchen equipment, foodservice, or other capital goods is highly preferred.
Familiarity with school procurement and federal funding processes is a strong plus.
Sales Skills
Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
Ability to manage complex sales cycles and understand bid requirements.
Travel
Willingness to travel for onsite visits, presentations, and school district meetings as needed (mileage reimbursement provided).
Base salary: $90,000–$105,000, plus significant bonus potential.
