Job Description - KAM EV & EDS

Key Account Manager – SoCal EV & EDS

$130,000–$140,000 Base + Bonus + Profit Share + Company Car
Location: Irvine, CA or Greater Orange County | Home Office with Southern California Territory

We are partnering with a global manufacturer of vehicle cable retention and attachment systems, including clips, ties, clamps and fasteners, used within electrical distribution systems by leading OEMs and Tier-1 suppliers worldwide.

Due to continued growth, they are seeking a degree-qualified Key Account Manager based in Irvine or the wider Orange County area to take ownership of key EV and EDS customers across Southern California, including Rivian, alongside a select portfolio of emerging EV and EV chassis accounts.

Orange County provides a strategic base due to its proximity to major automotive and mobility engineering hubs and its central positioning for customer travel across Los Angeles, Orange County and the wider Southern California region. The role operates from a home office with regular on-site customer engagement.

This is a high-visibility, growth-focused role within a team that has nearly doubled in size over the past 2 to 3 years, with further expansion planned.

The Role

Title: Key Account Manager
Sector: Automotive Electrical Distribution Systems
Territory: Southern California including Rivian plus select EV and EV chassis customers
Location: Irvine or Greater Orange County with regular on-site customer engagement
Package: $130k–$140k base + bonus + profit share + company car with all vehicle expenses covered

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and grow key EV and EDS accounts in Southern California, with Rivian as a primary focus.
  • Act as the main commercial interface for assigned customers:
    • Manage pricing, contracts and renewals.
    • Lead commercial negotiations and resolve account issues.
  • Operate in a hybrid commercial and technical capacity:
    • Work closely with customer engineering teams on wiring harness and electrical distribution applications.
    • Review drawings and technical requirements to position solutions effectively.
  • Drive new business within existing accounts:
    • Map customer organizations to identify new programs, platforms and specification opportunities.
    • Lead RFQs and secure new awards within EV and advanced electrical programs.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal product,
