Job Description - Kapolei Eye Care

Full time Ophthalmic Medical Assistant position. Practice Specialty: Opthalmology. Office hours: Mon-Fri 8 am - 5 pm, Sat 8 am- 12 pm. If you are applying for an employee position (not an extern position) you must be able to work Saturdays.

Job Description:

Immediate opening for Ophthalmic Medical Assistant for fast paced Ophthalmology Practice in Kapolei. Ophthalmic Technician- assist medical providers as they diagnose and manage eye diseases.

Job Duties include but not limited to:
Assist medical providers as they diagnose and manage eye diseases. Perform pressure checks, instilling eye drops, pupil checks, etc. Performing diagnostic imaging. Assist providers with injections, minor surgery while maintaining practice standards of sterile technique and infection control. Professional with good verbal communication skills. Demonstrate good customer service. Ability to multitask in a busy clinic environment. Must be able to work well with staff and doctors and work all the hours that Kapolei Eye Care is open.

Requirements

Knowledge of medical terminology, enthusiastic, positive team player, strong organization and attention to detail, great listening skills. Willing to cross train in various departments. Reliability a must. Medical experience highly preferred but not required. Must be able to type 50 words a minute or close. Familiar with the EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems. Both covid vaccine and booster are required.
