KC-135 Aircraft Mechanic II (23022) Sheet Metal

Resicum International LLC is seeking an experienced Aircraft Mechanic II – Sheet Metal to support the KC-135 Contractor Field Team (CFT) Support Services program. This is a full-time position based at Fairchild AFB, Washington, with travel to CONUS and OCONUS TDY locations as mission requirements dictate, and is contingent upon contract award.

The Aircraft Mechanic II – Sheet Metal is responsible for performing Organizational, Intermediate, and Depot-Level (O/I/D) structural maintenance on KC-135 aircraft. This position performs structural inspections, sheet metal fabrication, repairs, and modifications while ensuring aircraft are maintained in accordance with U.S. Air Force Technical Orders, engineering specifications, and contractual requirements. The successful candidate will support scheduled and unscheduled maintenance activities that directly contribute to aircraft readiness and mission success.

The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in aircraft structural repair, corrosion control, and sheet metal fabrication, with the ability to interpret engineering drawings, technical publications, and maintenance documentation. Working as part of a Contractor Field Team, the Aircraft Mechanic II – Sheet Metal will help maintain the structural integrity and airworthiness of KC-135 aircraft while supporting worldwide maintenance operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform structural inspections, repairs, modifications, and sheet metal fabrication on KC-135 aircraft. 
• Execute scheduled, unscheduled, and inspection maintenance in accordance with U.S. Air Force Technical Orders and maintenance procedures. 
• Accomplish pre-flight, post-flight, thru-flight, and isochronal inspections. 
• Troubleshoot structural discrepancies and perform corrective maintenance to restore aircraft to mission-capable status. 
• Perform corrosion control, structural preservation, and damage repair. 
• Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, structural repair manuals, and technical publications. 
• Accurately document maintenance actions in aircraft forms and maintenance records. 
• Maintain compliance with tool accountability, Foreign Object Damage (FOD) prevention, and safety programs. 
• Coordinate with maintenance leadership and fellow technicians to ensure timely completion of maintenance requirements. 
• Support CONUS and OCONUS deployments in support of Contractor Field Team mission requirements.

• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training in aircraft structural repair or sheet metal maintenance preferred. 
• Minimum three (3) years of aircraft maintenance experience on a U.S. Air Force wide-body aircraft (KC-135 preferred) or equivalent military aircraft. 
• Demonstrated experience performing aircraft structural inspections, sheet metal fabrication, repairs, and modifications. 
• Thorough knowledge of Organizational, Intermediate, and Depot-Level (O/I/D) aircraft maintenance procedures. 
• Experience performing scheduled, unscheduled, and inspection maintenance on military aircraft. 
• Proficiency in aircraft structural repair, corrosion control, structural preservation, riveting, metal forming, and fabrication techniques. 
• Ability to troubleshoot structural discrepancies and perform corrective maintenance in accordance with approved technical data. 
• Proficiency interpreting U.S. Air Force Technical Orders (TOs), engineering drawings, blueprints, structural repair manuals, and maintenance publications. 
• Experience documenting maintenance actions accurately using aircraft maintenance records and forms. 
• Knowledge of maintenance quality assurance, tool accountability, Foreign Object Damage (FOD) prevention, and workplace safety procedures. 
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary maintenance team in a fast-paced operational environment. 
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. 
• Current Secret Security Clearance required. 
• FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) Certificate preferred. 
• Previous KC-135 aircraft maintenance experience preferred. 
• Previous experience supporting U.S. Air Force depot maintenance, field maintenance, or Contractor Field Team (CFT) operations preferred. 
• Must possess or be able to obtain a valid U.S. passport. 
• Must be willing and able to travel to Fairchild AFB, Washington, and worldwide CONUS/OCONUS TDY locations in support of mission requirements. 
• Must be able to obtain and maintain all customer-required clearances and meet all company, customer, and U.S. Government pre-employment requirements.
