Description

A.T. Still University's Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine is seeking a non-exempt Research Technician for the Kirksville, MO campus. 

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Pick-up, wash and sterilize glassware.
• Prepare and sterilize culture media and other solutions.
• Set-up, clean, and organize the department work and teaching lab areas. 
• Check the ultra cold freezers in the department daily to ensure they are operational.
• Operate the autoclave and distilled water apparatus according to protocols.
• Make sure there is always adequate distilled water for department needs.
• Keep the water softener functional.
• Assist faculty and students in carrying out research procedures as directed.

Requirements

• College degree  required. 
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. 
• Sterile technique.
• Safety procedures and accuracy in preparation of reagents and use of equipment like autoclave, spectrophotometer, gel documentation system, incubator-shaker, centrifuges, pipetters, and computers.
