Iron Skillet at Kenly 95 Petro is seeking a dependable and experienced Back of House Lead Cook to join our culinary team. This role is ideal for a motivated individual who enjoys working in a fast-paced kitchen and is ready to take on occasional leadership responsibilities. While your primary focus will be preparing meals to our high standards, you will also step in to lead and support the Iron Skillet team as needed.

Requirements

• Prepare and cook menu items consistently and efficiently to Iron Skillet standards
  
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, prep stations, and storage areas
  
• Follow proper food handling, safety, and sanitation procedures
  
• Assist with inventory, prep work, and restocking stations as needed
  
• Step into a leadership role during designated shifts, overseeing kitchen operations and front of house staff
  
• Support training of new kitchen staff and ensure proper execution of procedures
  
• Communicate effectively with front-of-house and management staff to ensure smooth service
  
• Ensure all food is served in a timely manner and meets quality expectations
  

Qualifications:

• Minimum 1–2 years of experience in a high-volume kitchen environment
  
• Prior leadership or supervisory experience is required
  
• Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices
  
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  
• Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
  
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs as needed
