Keyholder/Captain Job Description

Golf VX is a leader in Golf technology and is now branching out into the entertainment and hospitality field. We are looking for talent to open our flagship Simulator location and to grow with our company. We are looking for an enthusiastic server/bartender/keyholder to help launch our first location. You will be responsible for opening and closing duties, supervising scheduled shifts and ensuring our customers have a great experience.

• During some scheduled shifts, you will act as key holder, overseeing the entire facility operation

• Must have some bartending experience

• Must be at least 21 years old

• Ability to keep a clean workspace, bar and guest area

• Ability to multitask calmly and effectively in a busy environment

• Elevate staff morale and set an example of proper business conduct

• Assist GM in training new staff and offer guidance in daily operation

• Coach current staff through training reviews and on-going feedback

• Proactively manage operation through scheduled shift that includes daily decision making, staff support, customer interaction, product quality, and cleanliness

• Opening and closing duties including pre-shift meetings, safe audit, close of day reports and important notes, trends, etc. through the daily log

• Frequently interacts with customers to ensure that they are receiving top-notch service and always follows up on complaints or issues

• Ensure Food and Beverage quality by maintaining high levels of cleanliness, organization, storage and sanitation

• Provide efficient, friendly guest service to a 4-6 bay section including but not limited to following all steps of service and cleaning the area to ensure a positive guest experience

• Accurately record and account for all items ordered, process payments, and balance all sales/receipts in compliance with property policies and procedures

• Safely and effectively transport food or beverages to a bay of up to 6 people in a single trip

• Ensure the overall guest experience exceeds expectations and anticipate guests’ needs

• Be able to assume all responsibilities of all positions at the facility

Requirements:

• 2+ years of hospitality/industry experience

• Able to frequently move and/or lift up to 25 lbs and occasionally move and/or lift up to 50 lbs

• Ability to stand and walk for an extended period of time

• Available to work a variety of hours, days and shifts, especially weekends

• Proficiency in the use and operation of all necessary tools and equipment, including the POS system, Gift Card and Credit Card terminals

• Safely and effectively use and operate tools and equipment including knives and blenders

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Proficient in basic computer skills, office applications and email

• General knowledge of the game of golf and ability to learn and comprehend golf simulator

• Follow all rules, policies, procedures and conditions of employment, including those outlined in the Employee Handbook

• Get along well with others and be a team player

Preferences:

• Bassett certification and food handlers within 30 days of hire

• Some prior shift lead experience

• Flexible schedule including weekends, late nights and holidays
